What is a cubic metre? 

One cubic metre is the equivalent of a box which is

1 metre long x 1 metre wide x 1 metre tall

  (1 metre is about 3 ft. 3 inches)

How much green-waste will fit into that space?

This will depend on how well it squashes down on loading. As a rough guide;

 one cubic metre

 would typically be equivalent to

 2 bulk bags

  

(the sort that a tonne of sand would be delivered in)

filled level to the top with hedge trimmings

 or

 

 15 X 

       

 80 litre dustbins, level filled.

You may wish to prepare your green-waste for collection by just stacking it in a heap,

or by containing it in bags, bundles and bins,

which we would empty on loading. 

 

 Whichever is more convenient for you.
